If you spend anytime driving through or around TCU, you will notice that there are a lot of cranes to be seen in all directions. Several projects were completed recently and are looking really nice, but if you thought they were done with the expansion, you couldn’t be more wrong. There is a ten year master plan to continue the transformation of the already impressive campus. One of the side effects of constructing new buildings in place of parking lots is that eventually the parking all disappears. Apparently, the parking shortage is a real problem, so much so that first year students are not allowed to bring their car! This is why they are building a new parking garage on the east side of campus to provide 950 new parking spaces for students, faculty, and guests. I will come back to the TCU master plan at a later date, but it is definitely worth paying attention to if you’re planning on buying real estate in the 76109’s of Fort Worth, Texas.
